Mission Statement
Thank you for taking a closer look at Christ Community Church through this website.
Reliant upon the Word of God (the Holy Bible) we've been seeking to understand the precise niche which Christ Community Church has been positioned by God to fill in Welland. We have observed in our environment a great many unhealthy dependencies. Often, well meaning people try to make a positive difference in the world but unknowingly feed into existing patterns of unhealthy dependencies in the lives of others. These are people who have come to depend upon everyone else to do for them what they are able to do for themselves by God's grace.
There is an account written by the Apostle Paul in the book of 2 Corinthians which speaks to an affliction he experienced. From ths passage we learn that although suffering (and/or afflictions) were part of his life story, it did not prevent him from using his God given abilities to serve others. We read begining at Chapter 12 verse 7 these words:
"To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness'. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong".
Our Vision
To see Christ's power made perfect in weakness.
Earlier in that same book of 2 Corinthians, Paul spoke of the need for people to be comforted. Based on the principle that we can't give to others what we do not possess ourselves, he articulates an astounding truth, namely, that as God comforts us in our troubles, we can share that comfort with others in there troubles. In chapter 1 beginning a verse 3 we read:
Corinthians 1:3-4 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God".
Our Mission
To grow by God's grace beyond brokenness. (trusting God to use us to help others do the same!)
And now we're hard at work at unearthing our core values - those non-negotiable values which are part of everything we do.
My grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9)

"...There was given to me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Chirst's power may rest on me."
