Why Come Here

Why Come Here?

You’ll hear the gospel, learn about Jesus and have the opportunity to be filled with His Spirit!

It’s a good place for you and your family to be. Supportive, prayerful relationships are growing here in this downtown district. Preaching and teaching from the Word of God are resulting in clearer thinking and less confusion. It’s a healing place in a hurting city, a spiritual home for people without one.

There are however some risks connected to coming to a place like CCC of which you should be aware of:

  1. You might just like our upbeat worship music so much that you'll want to jam with us.

  2. You might meet someone whose need is greater than your own.

  3. You would likely be invited to help serve lunch to the poor a couple of Saturday's each year.

  4. You would receive an invitation to a small group opportunity in the spring and fall.

  5. Your would be challenged to adjust your spending habits.  Your income tax refund will increase as you learn to spend less money than you earn and grow to become a generous person.

  6. You would have the opportunity grow in wisdom and knowlege of biblical truths making you less gullible to deceptive schemes, religious cults, etc .

  7. You will discover talents, abilities, and God-given gifts you don't realize you have and find joy in using them to bless others.

So you've been warned.

Come if you dare.  Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, be filled with His Spirit, and experience the peace which passes all understanding as you live out your life with Christ at the center.

My grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9)

"...There was given to me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.  Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Chirst's power may rest on me."
