"Let us love one another"

Curriculum

Curriculum is everything that happens in the classroom regardless of the age of the child. Play and investigation are the means children develop through cognitive learning, socialization and creativity. Our curriculum is biblically based and is responsive to the needs, interests, and abilities of each child. Children are given the opportunity to make choices, express ideas and theories and act upon their understanding within a well-defined learning environment. Each classroom contains a variety of materials and media for children to graphically represent their knowledge, understanding and express their ideas. As children make discoveries, solve problems and answer their own questions, teachers document and reflect on this process in order to provide new experiences and ask questions that enable children to move to the next level of investigation.

Toddlers Program (18 months to 2.5 years)

Children at this age like to explore and manipulate small toys, blocks and enjoy sensory experiences. This begins at the scribbling age and the age at which they learn to become steady on their feet. Potty training skills also develop during this period. Toddlers will need an infant blanket (taken home and washed at least once a week), a bag of disposable diapers, and several complete changes of clothing to be left at the center. In addition, toddlers should have several pairs of big boy/girl pants during toilet training. Please personalize your child's items (intials).

Preschool Program (2.5yrs and 5 year old)

The objective of this multi-age program is to respect the individual child and his/her needs in order to prepare for life as strong, thoughtful, creative and productive members of society. Learning stations are carefully planned and designed by qualified teachers for hands on learning experiences in science, art, music, language, verbal and visual communications, math and every day practical living skills. Children are encouraged and motivated to recognize their self worth and respect others as important, responsible members of a community by working individually as well as cooperatively in small and large group settings.
